The famous "forest glass" of which various chalices, bottles and carafes were made in the Middle Ages continue to captivate people. We present you two glasses from the collection of historic, hand-made blown glass replicas. These simple, yet very elegant cups, with glass thread coiled around them, come from glass factories located in Bohemia, northern Germany, and Scandinavian countries. Their production started in the Renaissance and continued up until the second half of the 17th century, the Baroque period. The renewed production of manually blown replicas of medieval utility glass attests to the art and great skills of our ancestors. You can buy "forest glass" produced by the best Czech living glass masters at the shops "U Škopků" and "Bohemia Medievalis".
